It all began with a dream.

It sounds corny, I know. But it’s true. I’ve been dreaming of owning my own practice since I was a young girl. Here’s my story…

I had tons of work done on my teeth growing up. I had braces twice for years at a time, I had appliances that I had to crank every day to widen my mouth to make room for teeth coming in, I had upper and lower jaw surgery that took a whole year to heal from, I mean I have been through the worst of the worst!

So you might be asking, “why in the world did you decide to become a dentist then?”.

Well… Here’s why.

“That feeling of finally being able to be yourself and let your soul be free, it’s life changing. I knew right then I want to help others feel the same.”

— Dr. Massa

I had very little confidence in myself growing up. My teeth were growing in wrong and my jaws were completely misaligned. I didn’t like smiling because my smile was extremely gummy, and when I did smile, I’d cover my mouth with my hand as I laughed. My jaws made my chin look huge and so I’d tilt my chin a certain way in photos to hide it. I couldn’t even eat correctly! My front teeth didn’t touch at all. Something as simple as eating pizza with my friends was so embarrassing. I couldn’t bite into anything.

I basically kept to myself and avoided cameras.

The summer before my senior year of high school completely changed everything for me. This is when I had my jaw surgery. I kid you not, I look like a robot on my x-ray. My surgery left me with teeth that actually could function when I bit into a sandwich, a natural looking chin and a way less gummy smile. I was a new girl! Everyone at school commented on how different I looked and how much happier I seemed. I became myself that summer. The outgoing, fun loving, big smiling girl I knew I was inside.

I finally had confidence in myself.

That feeling of finally being able to be yourself and let your soul be free, it’s life changing. I knew right then I want to help others feel the same. I knew I was good at art and building things. Using my hands to create magic is what I was good at.

Enter dentistry.

I am so blessed to be doing something that I love everyday and to be helping others gain confidence in themselves. That smile when my patient’s look in the mirror at their results is so rewarding. I only do dentistry that comes from the heart because I’ve been there. I’m here for you.

I can’t wait to meet you.
